About Us

Welcome to the University of Miami Prostate Health App (UM Proguide), an initiative developed by the Department of Urology at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, in collaboration with the Desai Sethi Urology Institute (DSUI). Our mission is to empower patients and the public with accurate, accessible, and up-to-date information on prostate health, early detection, and treatment options for prostate cancer.

The Desai Sethi Urology Institute is a national leader in urologic care, research, and education. As part of the University of Miami’s academic medical center, our team includes world-class urologists, researchers, oncologists, and patient advocates dedicated to improving outcomes and quality of life for patients facing urologic diseases, including prostate cancer.

Why We Created This App

Prostate cancer is one of the most common cancers affecting men. Fortunately, timely detection and access to reliable information can lead to much better results.

We developed this free, user-friendly app to provide clear, reliable, and accessible information—especially for individuals in underserved communities who may not always have regular access to specialists or in-depth resources.
